PSY 503 Basic Skills in Psychotherapy (3+0+0) 3 / 5 ECTS
This course will enable students to develop fundamental skills of therapeutic relationships. These skills include the ability to form therapeutic alliance, to utilize emphatic listening skills such as, summarizing, paraphrasing, in-depth questioning and reflecting, to use the advanced relationship techniques such as confrontation, self-disclosure and interpretation effectively, to formulate treatment goals and to terminate a therapy.
PSY 507 Professional Ethics (1+0+0) 1 / 2 ECTS
A broad understanding of the roles and functions of professional psychologists will be provided. The ethical principles of psychologists, clinical standards of practice, legal issues and regulations, professional organizations, professional practice and issues which can affect professional practice.
PSY 512 Advanced Research Methods and Data Analysis (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
This course gives a detailed explanation of the methods used in different experimental research by psychologists and also the methods and techniques utilized in the analysis of data. In addition to experimental and quasi-experimental design, techniques related to parametric and non-parametric, moderation and mediation analysis. Single-subject design, testing of hypothesis and experimental method, selecting appropriate statistical techniques, threats to internal and external validity and randomization with types of experimental control.
PSY 505 Clinical Practicum I (0+0+0) 0 / 10 ECTS

Work experience in the field (under supervision) for 8 hours in a week, at least 112 hours per semester at collaborating hospitals or therapy centers. Development of various skills related to therapy, consultation, diagnosis and evaluation for Adult or Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy based on the student's choice. Prerequisite: Completion of all the first-year courses.

PSY 545 Individual Supervision Project I (3+0+0) 3 / 7 ECTS
Reporting cases from clinical practice (by means of experience in the field) and debating on the reports in terms of ethics, case management/formulation, variety, therapy strategies, consultation and generating program with the supervisor individually. Prerequisite: PSY 505
PSY 500 Thesis Seminar (Thesis Track) (0+1+0) 0 / 1 ECTS
Laying stress on main ideas, procedure and implementation of different thesis.
PSY 506 Clinical Practicum II (0+0+0) 0 / 10 ECTS

PSY 590 Master Thesis (Thesis Track) (0+2+0) 0 / 10 ECTS
Students are expected to write a thesis which is unique and a product of a research, meets scientific criteria as well as to prove that they gained the ability to evaluate and interpret the acquired knowledge through this project.
PSY 580 Master Project (Project Track) (0+0+0) 0 / 10 ECTS
Produce an article draft which can be publish in fields of research, theory or clinical studies.
PSY 541 Advanced Psychopathology – Adult (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Examination of psychological disorders in terms of biological and psychosocial disposition as part of diathesis–stress model. Study of dimensional, descriptive and categorical approaches to classification by emphasizing the current forms of psychopathology included in the DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). The symptomatology, differential diagnosis, etiology, epidemiology, and treatment approaches related to various diagnostic categories. Examination of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, somatoform disorders, substance disorders, sexual disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders.
PSY 543 Advanced Psychopathology - Child and Adolescent (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Diagnose and classification of child and adolescence abnormal behaviors and psychological status. Analyzing taxonomy-oriented dimensional, descriptive and categorical approaches with emphasis on their contemporary psychopathologic forms in DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). Examining symptomology, ethiology, developmental/progressive patterns and treatment approaches related to various categories of diagnosis.
PSY 551 Psychological Assessment - Adult I (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Provide theoretical and practical requirements about evaluation of mental abilities. Develop, application, evaluation and interpretation of most common intelligence tests such as Wechsler Intelligence Test.
PSY 553 Psychological Assessment- Child and Adolescent I (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Examine tests help cognitive, emotional and social evaluations of children and adolescences. Valid evaluation methods, combination of evaluation results, case formulation, diagnose and treatment planning.
PSY 542 Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Teaching theories and practice of cognitive and behavioral approach with using demonstrations with various cases. Teaching the use of cognitive and behavioral techniques about coping with urgent situations, in addition to Axis 1 disorders. Prerequisite: PSY541
PSY 544 Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Various therapies are used on children and adolescences. Mainly, examining of behaviorist approaches but also includes other therapy techniques which their effectiveness are scientifically approved. Planning and applying proper treatment for clients with different socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Prerequisite: PSY543.
PSY 552 Psychological Assessment - Adult II (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
Measurement and evaluation techniques which is used by cognitive behavioral therapies. Selection, application, coding and combination of evaluation techniques, case formulation, diagnose and treatment planning according to evaluation results. Advance level course of Psychological Assessment - Adult I Prerequisite: PSY551
PSY 554 Psychological Assessment- Child and Adolescent II (3+0+0) 3 / 6 ECTS
